ARCIAN arises from the desire and effort of a group of students on PhD candidature stage that aim to investigate humanity’s past. Members are listed below:

Alia Vázquez Martínez: Graduated in History of Art by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, in 2012, with minors in Ancient History and Mediaeval Art, Artistic Heritage and History of Modern Art. She got a Masters in Arqueoloxía e Ciencias da Antigüedade at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in 2013, minoring in Prehistory. Currently, under the tutoring of Dr. Ramón Fábregas Valcarce and Dr. Carlos Rodríguez Rellán, and aiming to pursue her PhD, she is focusing her research on Galician Petroglyphs, thus extending the research she made during the course of her Master’s. Benito Vilas Estévez: Graduated in History by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, in 2010, with minors in Archaeology, Ancient History and Prehistory. He studied at the University of Nova de Lisboa (Portugal) for one year in 2009/2010. He started a MA in 2012 at the Univeristy of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology, and in 2014(2015 he got a MA in Arqueoloxía e Ciencias da Antigüedade at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Rebeca Cordeiro Macenlle: Graduated in History by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, in 2012, with minors in Ancient History and Mediaeval History. She got a Master’s in Arqueoloxía e Ciencias da Antigüedade at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, in 2013, minoring in Prehistory and History of Gallaecia and the Classical World. Her field of study was Roman Political Theory during the Late Republic. Having participated in several conferences, she is currently dedicated to pursuing her PhD by extending the research she made during the course of her Master’s.
