The Cultural Association for Archaeology and Sciences of Antiquity (ARCIAN, for its acronym in Galician) is a non profit project founded in September 2014 by a group of students in PhD candidature stage in the University of Santiago de Compostela, located in Galicia, Spain. Given the need to stimulate the research in the fields of Archaeology, Prehistory and Ancient History, and to facilitate the action of young researchers, ARCIAN is born as a cultural association aimed to enhance the progress of the disciplines mentioned and that of novice specialists. Conceived both as a tool for development and abutment between professionals and those with an interest in the subject, ARCIAN aims to promote knowledge and research in those areas and foster interaction between specialists.

Therefore, the Association encourages and invites all those interested in Archaeology, Prehistory and Ancient History to participate in the projects and activities that it will develop soon.
